“This was my second time playing the course, and it was even better this time. The pro shop helped me with everything I needed and my rental clubs were ready when I arrived. The course is only a few kilometres from the city centre, so it’s easy to get to. There is a nice variety of holes and great views of Arthur’s seat. I will definitely go back next time I’m in Edinburgh.”

“Hidden within Edinburgh at the foot of Arthurs Seat Duddingston GC a gem of a parkland course. A good front nine turns into a fantastic back nine with a run of challenging pars 4’s just after the turn that are signature of the course. It’s easy to see that a lot of work has been out in to get the course in the great condition it is in especially around the greens. Always a friendly welcome from the pro shop and club house which is a world away from some of its more stuffy local peers.”

“As far as city courses go this takes some beating. Beautiful open fairways with stunning views of Arthur’s Seat. Quite a challenging back 9 with lots of elevation changes and blind tee-shots.”

“Standard of course / facility was evident when arriving in car park. Course immaculately maintained and variation of holes was good too. Many strategically positioned bunkers and stream running through course came into play on a number of holes. Played course in early October after a wet spell but no evidence that this had affected the course. Didn’t see the clubhouse but it looks first class. All in a good experience which I would be happy to repeat.”

“Great layout of interesting challenging holes. Lots of mature trees, a burn, undulating greens with run offs. Tough to play when the greens are fast and there is any wind. Good for all standards but particularly low handicappers.”

“Duddingston Golf Club is without doubt the best parkland course in Edinburgh. Each hole is special in it’s own way and Amen Corner (11,12 & 13) are a great test especially from the medal tees. The condition of the course over the last few years has been fantastic so credit to the excellent green staff. If you have never played the course you don’t know what you are missing!!”

“Duddingston is undoubtedly one of the premier parkland courses in the country. Always in good condition (in particular the greens), always a stern test of golf and always a very warm welcome. Spectacular views of Arthur’s Seat are almost incidental.”
